Two minutes. Forty-eight decisions. One clear direction.
The two-minute serious game for study and career orientation. Students play one short round on their phone and get a clear profile of how they decide and which study and career fields draw them in. No questionnaire, no app, and a method built for scientific scrutiny from day one.
Orientation tools lose young people before the last question
01
Long forms, low completion
Questionnaires and long tests ask for time, focus and motivation. Many students drop out or click through, so the result says little.
02
Self-report has blind spots
Answers depend on self-insight and on what people think they should say, which is often weakest right when they choose a path.
03
Short has to stay serious
NeuroBlitz answers a hard question: how short can an assessment get and still produce information you can stand behind?
YOUR BENEFIT
What NeuroBlitz does for your institution
For universities, schools, study and career guidance services, chambers and event organisers.
Participation instead of drop-out
Two minutes fit into every open day, every lesson and every stand visit. In our playtests, short, playful formats were taken up far more readily than questionnaires.
Better guidance conversations
The result gives study advisors, career services and teachers a concrete starting point, instead of beginning every conversation from zero.
Impact you can report
A dashboard shows plays, completions and click-throughs to your offers: solid numbers for management, sponsors and funding bodies.
Data protection built in
GDPR-compliant, pseudonymised and hosted in the EU. No emotion recognition and no selection decisions: deliberately designed to stay outside the high-risk categories of the EU AI Act.
INSIDE A ROUND
Five kinds of gates, one simple swipe
Players run down a city street and swipe into one of three lanes. Every scored moment uses that same swipe, so a mistake reflects the decision, not the controls. Gate types are randomly interleaved, and there is no game over: a wrong lane just glitches the screen and the run goes on.

Arithmetic gates
Performance
A sum floats above the track and two lanes offer answers. Three difficulty levels are spread evenly across the round.
Measures: Processing speed and accuracy under time pressure
Focus gates
Performance
Collect green circles, avoid red triangles and blue squares. Every colour has its own shape, so colour-blind players are not disadvantaged.
Measures: Response inhibition and sustained attention
Memory chain
Performance
One gate produces an interim result. A later gate builds on it, with other gates in between.
Measures: Working memory
Risk run
Performance
A multiplier grows while you keep collecting and resets on a crash. Cash in now, or push your luck?
Measures: Risk tendency
Interest gates
Interest
Two icons from different interest families appear. Pick the one that appeals more, or neither. They are labelled openly, because this is orientation, not hidden diagnostics.
Measures: Study and career interests across six families

What you can do and what draws you are measured apart
Layer 1
Performance
How you process and decide
Arithmetic, focus, memory and risk gates always have a right or wrong answer and never reveal what they measure. Processing efficiency can't be faked upwards.
Processing efficiency and decision caution, estimated with a drift-diffusion model
Response inhibition and attention stability
Working memory and risk tendency
Reported on a 0–100 scale in everyday language

Layer 2
Interests
What draws you
Interest gates have no right answer. A five-second legend before the round introduces the six interest families, based on the established RIASEC model.
Practical
Analytical
Creative
Social
Entrepreneurial
Structured
The two layers are never added up into one score. They differ in what they measure, in how reliable they are and in how easily they can be faked.
PSYCHOMETRICS FIRST
Built as a measurement instrument, not a game with a quiz bolted on
Trial structure, difficulty, timing, logging and scoring were designed together from day one, so that every claim can be tested.
Millisecond telemetry
Every gate logs when it appeared, when the player swiped, the lane chosen, correctness and frame time. Raw trial data, not phase averages.
Drift-diffusion modelling
Instead of fragile reaction-time differences, NeuroBlitz estimates evidence-accumulation parameters, which research shows to be reliable individual measures.
Device effects absorbed
The model separates input latency and motor speed from the decision itself, so a slower phone doesn't read as a slower mind.
Interleaved, graded trials
Gate types are randomised across the round at three difficulty levels and lane positions are balanced, so no trial type is confused with fatigue or side bias.
Replay becomes precision
Up to three short rounds with parallel forms can be pooled into a more reliable profile, without practice effects from recognising items.
Accessible by design
Colour always comes with shape, one gesture answers everything, and no one is ever knocked out of the game.
What we claim, and what we don't
We say
NeuroBlitz is a fast orientation tool with an explicit, testable measurement model.
A pre-registered validation programme covering reliability, fairness, fakeability and predictive validity is in preparation.
Every result comes with a confidence label: strong, moderate or limited evidence.
We don't
No IQ claims, no percentile ranks, no success probabilities.
No emotion recognition, in any context.
No admission, selection or hiring decisions. NeuroBlitz is for orientation only.
THE RESULT
A result players understand in seconds
The result card replaces abstract scores with plain language people can act on.
1
Performance profile
Scores from 0 to 100, translated into everyday language: “You decide quickly and slow down when things get complicated.”
2
Top 3 interests
The strongest interest directions, with study fields, careers or other recommendations to explore.
3
Confidence label
Strong, moderate or limited evidence. When answers are widely spread, the card offers areas to explore instead of a firm recommendation.
4
Honest framing
“A quick orientation hint, not a final decision.” No rankings, no verdicts.

EDITIONS
One engine, shaped to your audience
Universities and study advice
Study orientation in two minutes: matching study fields from the interest profile, at open days, in information sessions or before enrolment.
Schools and career orientation
A motivating start to study and career orientation in upper secondary school, playable by a whole class within one lesson.
Fairs and events
A stand activity that draws a crowd: scan the QR code, play, get a result. At a book fair, NeuroBlitz matched every play style with reading recommendations.
Your own edition
Your outcomes, branding and languages. A dashboard shows plays, completions and click-throughs to your offers.
Live at a book fair
Two players, two play styles, two sets of recommendations. These are real screens from the German book-fair edition: the same engine, with reading tips as the outcome.
RESPONSIBLE BY DEFAULT
Privacy and fairness are part of the design
Pseudonymised data
Behavioural data is stored pseudonymously, GDPR-compliant and hosted in the EU. Research consent is kept separate from product consent.
Fairness checks
Our validation plan tests whether gaming experience, device type, gender, age or language bias results, and defines in advance what would make us change course.
Orientation, not selection
NeuroBlitz supports personal orientation. We exclude its use for admission, placement or hiring decisions.

NeuroBlitz is a two-minute serious game by Talero AI for study and career orientation. Players swipe through a 3D runner with about 48 scored moments, and the game turns their choices into a profile of how they process and decide and which interest fields draw them in.
How long does NeuroBlitz take?
About two minutes per round on a phone or in a browser, with no sign-up hurdle and no questionnaire. For a more reliable profile, players can play up to three short rounds; each round uses a parallel form with new numbers and icon combinations.
Can I try NeuroBlitz?
Yes. A test version for study orientation runs at uni.taleroai.com and is optimised for smartphones and tablets. For a guided demo or your own edition, contact us.
What does NeuroBlitz measure?
Two separate layers. The performance layer (arithmetic, focus, memory and risk gates) captures processing efficiency, decision caution, response inhibition, working memory and risk tendency. The interest layer (interest gates) captures preferences across six RIASEC families: practical, analytical, creative, social, entrepreneurial and structured. The two layers are never combined into one score.
Is NeuroBlitz scientifically validated?
NeuroBlitz is built psychometrics-first: graded difficulty, interleaved trials, millisecond logging and drift-diffusion modelling make its measurements testable. A pre-registered validation programme covering reliability, fairness, fakeability and prediction of study satisfaction and retention is in preparation. Until it is complete, results are orientation hints with a confidence label, not diagnoses.
Who is NeuroBlitz for?
Universities, schools and career services that want students to engage with orientation, organisers of fairs and events looking for an interactive stand activity, and institutions that want a custom edition with their own outcomes and branding.
Can we get our own NeuroBlitz edition?
Yes. The engine stays the same while outcomes, branding and languages are adapted, for example study fields for a university or reading recommendations for a book fair. A dashboard shows plays, completions and click-throughs. Contact us for a demo and a quote.
How is NeuroBlitz different from the Talero adventure?
The Talero adventure is a story-driven game of about 15 minutes that builds a broad profile of personality, strengths and careers. NeuroBlitz is a two-minute runner focused on decision-making and interests, ideal as a quick entry point, at events or where time is short.
What happens to player data?
Behavioural data is pseudonymised, processed in line with the GDPR and hosted in the EU. NeuroBlitz makes no emotion-recognition claims and must not be used for admission, selection or hiring decisions.
